Description
Presented by the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. Wooden box jointed box with leather handle fixed with circular copper alloy screws. The interior of the lid has the Instructions for use printed on paper and fixed using four copper alloy screws. The screws of the handle protrude through the instruction sheet. Four Bakelite dials are fixed to a Bakelite panel which is raised using a wooden shelf. Glass panels below these dials show the number below. Two metal probes on cord arms are attached to two copper alloy dials on the lower shelf. The box closes with a simple copper alloy turning mechanism / lock. A paper label attached to the outside of the lid states "Megger Unit". (?) The number 296 is scratched onto the top of the lid.
