Description
Mahogany box with leather handle containing capacity meter. Metal label on top "CAPACITY METER NO 30194 EVERSHED & VIGNOLES LTD LONDON". 4 dials on the front and turning mechanism on the side. Card and string label attached to the handle "CAPACITY METER No. 20194 Made 1904". Using a metal hinge the leather handle lifts up on one side to allow a black metal lid to be lifted the metre and pointer. Hinged opening - but it has not been possible to open the box.
