Description

Compound Microscope

Two turned pillars rise from the horseshoe base that support the limb on trunions. A long dovetail runs the length of the limb into which the mounting for the body, stage and condenser tube fit. Rackwork is cut into the body mounting for focusing by knob on the left of the limb. Fine adjustment to the focus is by a knob and lever on the right-hand side.

Collar attached to lower part of limb.

A plano-concave mirror is mounted on the lower end of the limb.
