Description

Tiny Gould type microscope. Made in brass and standing on a weighted circular base.

.1: Weighted circular base with attached supporting arm and stage. The mechanical stage has a tightening screw to secure the specimen and can be raised or lowered on the pillar for focusing. In the centre of the inscribed base is a horseshoe mounting for the concave mirror.

.2: Eyepiece and field lens with screws onto the body tube.

.3: Cylindrical body tube which the eyepiece and objective screw onto.

.4: Objective. The lower, conical section of the body has an external thread that screws into the objective mount. The objective screws into the supporting arm which is fixed onto the base.

.5: Concave mirror which fits into a hole in the base.
