Description

Compound Microscope, manufactured by Junker. (Similar to 38742)

Turned, polished wood base stands on three feet with a plane mirror set on a pivoting mount at its centre. Three turned legs support a second turned wooden disc on which the spring-stage and body are set. Embossed paper on the outer tube held above stage.

Wooden dust cap for eyepiece (.3).

Wooden eyepiece, screws into upper section of body tube.

Pasteboard upper body tube, covered with decorated paper, containing eyepiece lens.

Pasteboard lower body tube covered with decorated paper, with conical base which screws into objective.

Wooden objective piece, which screws into lower section of pasteboard body tube.

A stop in a wooden mount with internal and external threads screws to spare objective (.*8) on the underside of the stage for storage.

Spare objective, screwed onto underside of stage.
