Wooden hinged box with a lock and two clasp closing mechanisms and four metal brackets each on the lid and base.  Inside the box is lined with red velvet and has recesses in the base for storing the trepanning set.  The box contains a blackened wood handle with a metal stem to attach the trepanning instruments.  The instruments are pushed into the stem and are released by a push-button lever.  A smaller gauge metal trepanning circular blade with a central piercing point, teeth around the blade, and a cylindrical stem.  A larger gauge trepanning circular blade with a central piercing point, teeth around the blade, and a cylindrical stem.  A pair of pliers with tweezer-like points which are hatched inside for grip.  At right-angles to the tweezer points are thicker rectangular points with small spikes on the inside.  One of the handles is round, the other is an open U-shape.  A turned wooden handled instrument with a metal triangular cross-section tool which has a disc attached to the end.  A turned wooden handled instrument with a metal pentagonal prism tool.
