Description

Magazine Flip Book in branded orange and black tin covered enclosure with metal lever. Filoscope was patented in 1897 by the English cameramen Henry William Short, who formed for this purpose a company, the Anglo-French Filoscope Syndicate. The subjects of the Filoscope were usually films of Robert Paul (1869-1943), pioneer of the British film industry and Short's friend.
