Description

A pillar with a square cross-section stands in a boss in a heavy flat tripod foot. A sleeve on the pillar holds a horseshoe mount for a mirror, which is not present. A second sleeve supports the circular stage. Rackwork cut into the pillar and a double mill-edged knob on the sleeve allow the stage to be moved for focusing. The stage has a pinhole with a sprung mounting. A disc with seven apertures and a dovetail slot are set below the stage. The body pushes into a sleeve in a collar mounted at the top of the pillar. The body is in two sections. The eyepiece and a field lens mounted in upper section which pushes into the lower part. A dust cover, with an acorn shaped decoration, screws over the eyepiece and the nose has two external threads and an internal thread to take the objective mounting. No objective lens is present.
