"P L" with tree between the letters {is a known Nuremberg coppersmith's mark but not attributed to any maker. Coat-of-arms of a running horse surmounted by a crown both on the case and the weights could be the verification mark of inspectors of Hanover}.

Description

Brass case and nest of eight weights with large hinge to lid fashioned as three dogs, and hasp fashioned of two mythical horses one with a large fish tail.
