Description
A heliostat that consists of a copper alloy sundial and a clock in a wooden frame that are mounted on each end of a rectangular wooden base. The two clock movements are of Parisian manufacture. The sundial has several copper and iron alloy fittings that hold a rectangular mirror. The fittings allow the mirror to be moved into different positions. A string is tied around the sundial and the clock. In front of the clock is a circular copper alloy fitting with a glass centre. There is a small paper label adhered to the wooden base that reads "Presented by Mrs. N. Story-Maskelyne, 1911."
