Gas Burner, by Moffershead & Co., Manchester, Late 19th Century

Gas burner with glass tube at the top, held with decorative base with inscription 'Welsbach Inc. Gas Light Co. Ltd Rd No 363837 Trade Mark'. Inside glass is a white metal rod on a mesh cylinder. Old company mark printed on glass but only faint lettering. Glass tube and inner components lift away from base. Supported by circular base with spout and key. Inscribed on key 'Moffershead & Co., Manchester' Late 19th Century.
