Description
Autochrome glass lantern slide, with labels written and initialled by Henry Minn. Part of a garden and buildings, presumably Cassington Manor, near Oxford (Minn's home). The date '1904' is too early (the autochrome process was placed on the market in 1907), Minn was perhaps writing from memory upon presenting it to the Museum in 1928. It was displayed in the Museum for many years, which accounts for the paleness.
