Description
Part of the boxed set 69649. Sample slide illustrating the yellow layer of the Sanger Shepherd process of colour photography, introduced in 1899-1900. Faulty plate -- the yellow layer, for some reason, has often decayed or 'liquified' in this way, presumably with time.
