Microscope objective in can.

.1 - Microscope objective lens. Coated metal. Screw thread around the inside rim, which screw onto lid. Unscrews into three sections.

.2 - Can for microscopic objective lens. Coated metal cylinder with screw cap. Inscription to top of cap. Handwritten paper note in can.
