Description
A copy by Mrs Louisa Gunther (grandmother of Dr R. T. Gunther, first Curator of the Museum of the History of Science) of a seventeenth century painting of the Dodo and other birds thought to have been painted c.1626 by the Dutch artist Roelandt Savery from living birds in Amsterdam, The Savery painting is part of the collections at the Natural History Museum in London.
