Daguerreotype portrait of a man, seated half length, facing slightly to right, his left hand tucked inside his coat. Plain backdrop. Slightly tinted. Enclosed {? xxx} and cased.
Wooden case covered in decorated thin brown leather. Decorated red velvet internal pad. Plain oval mat (no frame). Two hook clasps.
The lower part of the image is out of focus. The case is very worn and scuffed.
