Description
Oil painting on canvas depicting animals in a landscape. A 19th century date is likely due to the use of machine-made canvas. Framed and unglazed. Date thought to be 19th Century rather than earlier due to use of machine-made canvas. Also presence of a dodo lower left corner. Could the painting be related to those by Mrs Louisa Gunther - see Inv. 58090, and similar at Natural History Museum, due to the similarity of subject matter(?).
