Description
Carbon print on a white porcelain tile, mounted beneath a brown card mat with gilt-edged oval aperture, framed and glazed. Portrait of Ernst Abbe, head and shoulders, looking right, almost in profile, vignetted. Reddish brown. In leaf-decorated gilt frame. Faded and discoloured manuscript label on back.
