It has an eyepiece with a blackened eyecup, a field lens and a nose with an external thread for objectives. There are three button objective lenses that can be used in combination. The softwood box also holds copper alloy forceps, three glass slides, an oval glass plate, sealing wax, and three lenses, one in a threaded copper alloy collar.
