Description

Hauksbee-type double-barrelled copper alloy air pump with mercury pressure gauge and brown ground glass base for the bell-jar (missing). The leather valves are enclosed in thick, clear glass barrels so that the pump storks and the operation of the small valves can be clearly seen. This made it good for laboratory demonstrations.
