Albumen print, mounted, framed and glazed, with handwritten caption label that reads ' ? Faraday's Lecture on the ? ? ? of 1880 Photograph of the Actinic Spectrum beyond the visible Spectrum. The marks show the boundary of the red, the yellow and the violet rays. Taken at the Royal Institution in the presence of the audience.'. A further label at the top of the print reads ' OXFORD UNIVERSITY OBSERVATORY'.
