Description

Microscope lamp with stand in tin case. The lamp has a chimney with lid that sits on top and a copper alloy cylinder at its base, which unscrews from the burner. The burner has a clay valve. The lower end of the burner has a short length of cotton tape that slots into the copper alloy cylinder. The chimney has an inner tube plugged with a cork at one end and containing two pieces of cotton tape.

Accompanied by a glass slide. The stand has three folding copper alloy feet, a shaft and a circular holder for the lamp.

The tin case is a squashed tube shape and the exterior is painted black. It has a detachable lid.
