Description

Telephone Relay, with glazed top brass cylinder on mahogany base. With seven brass terminals on upper surface of base, marked "S", "T", "M", "U", "U", "D", "D", and brass dial (marked "SPACING", "MARKING") at lower section of cylinder. Glazed top reveals various brass components and a nickel-plated needle. Underside of base is partially hollowed out and reveals various contacts between terminals and main cylinder. Made for, or with the authorisation of, the GPO hence of British manufacture. Previously catalogued with two other relay (Inv. Num.s 91761, 13183).
