Description

Educational Compound Microscope and Case. Manufactured by Henry Crouch. The instrument is carried on trunnions on a curved blackened-copper alloy tripod. The body slides in a sleeve on the limb. A draw tube with a Huygenian eyepiece pushes into the body and the objective screws onto the lower end. The rectangular stage plate has two spring clips. A bull's-eye lens is mounted over the stage on an arm with two ball joints. An arm below the stage holds the concave mirror. The instrument is stored in a case, however, there is a label attached stating that this case does not belong to this microscope.
