Description

The square sectioned limb is carried on trunnions on a flat tripod foot. A rack and pinion, operated by two milled knobs, raises a triangular bar from within the limb for coarse focusing. The monocular body tube is carried on an arm at the top of the bar. A milled head on a screw on the arm operates the fine focus. An eyepiece with an eyecup is fitted into the top of the body tube. The rectangular stage is mounted on the limb at the level of the trunnions. A bracket to hold specimens is held on the stage by clips and a rotating disk with four apertures is mounted on a cylinder attached to the underside of the stage. A cylindrical bar below the stage holds the plano-concave mirror on a sliding sleeve.
