Description

The Y-shaped foot supports the curved limb on a compass joint. The stage is mounted on rackwork and is mechanical. Two Vernier scales show the degree of movement in each direction. The body tube is also mounted on rackwork for coarse focusing. Milled screws on the mounting adjust the fine focus. There are two draw tubes one of which moves on a coarse thread. The objective screws into a mount for a vertical Köhler illuminator, attached to the lower end of the body. The instrument is finished in black enamel and comes with a wooden carrying case.
