A hinged mahogany case with a key and lock mechanism and supports inside lined with green felt. The case contains assorted microscope accessories: a set of nine copper alloy objectives in copper alloy cans with screw lids, and one empty can; a set of five copper alloy eyepieces which would push into a body tube; a set of seven Lieberkühn, two of which are stored in copper alloy cans, four have caps, and one is not stored in a can or cap; two parabolic illuminators with black spots, stored in copper alloy cans. One of the spots is fixed, the other can be rotated using a screw; three live boxes on rectangular bases, and a spare circular live box lid; stage forceps with a cork end opposite the steel forceps; an aperture disc attached to a collar with four different sized apertures; a copper alloy can holding four coloured filters and seven metal disc filters; an objective with a small aperture disc fitted half way down the objective nose; a set of two copper alloy lenses with a threaded top; four copper alloy collars, three of which would be fitted by pushing into a body tube, the other is threaded; a set of two prisms, each in a small hinged leather-effect case with a swing clasp fastening; two analysing prisms, one in a cylindrical tube, the other in a nose-piece, with a spare prism in cork; a copper alloy collar with a grey filter attached; a circular dark well carrier; a copper alloy micrometer eyepiece on a copper alloy rectangular base with an adjusting dial on the side; and a lens in a copper alloy cylinder with two threaded sections.
