Description

Theodolite telescope instrument with a circular base and a cylindrical attachment to fix to a stand. The instrument has a spirit level and focussing screws. The lens has a pivoting dust cover, and a blackened copper alloy eyepiece the other end. The theodolite is housed in a wooden case with wooden fittings for sorting accessories. The wooden case is inside a leather outer case. The accessories in the case are: An eyepiece with an inner prism to allow viewing at 90 degrees; A spirit level with a turned wooden handle, mounted on two metal legs; Three blackened copper alloy eyepieces; A cross-hair lens; Two cans containing with attachments which are potentially used to focus the instrument.
