Description

A coated metal Vernier Theodolite with a pivoting telescope, adjustment knobs, two spirit levels, and clamps to attach the instrument to a tripod. The theodolite is housed in a coated metal case, with a canvas cotton strap. Inside the case there are wooden and metal supports for the instrument, some of which are covered with leather, others with felt. Inside the case is also a leather accessory pouch with snap fastenings which contains: A plumb bob with a yellow string; a Screwdriver with a black handle; a T-bar accessory used for adjustments; a quill brush; a spanner; two metal rods; a graticule in a can which is attached to the leather pouch; a cylindrical accessory with a plunger.
