Description
The steel beam has a round section and swan neck ends. Brass pans are suspended by dark green cords (probably replacement). The pendant is missing.
Pearwood CFS box with wire hinges and hook on top. The lid is decorated with a linear pattern of asterisks, and in the centre in large numbers, is the date 1969. At each side of the scale recess there were originally, two or three weights wells and a grain locker with a sliding lid, but these have been crudely modified by further digging out.
The style and materials are consistant with the marked date, but all the weights are later additions.
