Description
Large oblong volume bound in red half-leather and red cloth. A commercially produced album issued by subscription, but without the issuer's or publisher's name. It contains flyleaves + 17 stiff card leaves each bearing a single large albumen print (approximately 8½ x 11 inches) with 36 small portrait images identified intrinsically, mounted above a printed caption, except the first, of the Royal Family, which contains 23 images (including 5 deceased). The total number of portraits is thus 599. Each caption (again except the first) is dated 1889.
