Description
Gelatine print (bromide), mounted on card, the card cut down to nearly the size of the photograph. Portrait of James A. Murray, head and shoulders, turned to left and head in semi-profile looking left. Murray was President of the RMS in 1926-27 and 1946, and honorary fellow 1948. The photograph may have been taken at the time of his second presidency, or before; the stamp of the photographer Walter Stoneman has the address used from 1932 onwards. Accompanied in the archive by two halftones.
