Description
Carte de visite (albumen print mounted on card) of Birket Foster, head and shoulders, looking to right, partly vignetted. Myles Birket Foster (1825-1899), artist, became famous during the early 1860s, at exactly the time of the vogue for carte de visite portraits of celebrities.
