Description

Maxmum Thermometer, by Elliott Brothers, London. Used to measure the maximum temperature with a given period. Thermometer is mounted on a metal base within a box by brass pins. The maximum temperature scale reads from 20-140F. The box is wooden and has two hook catch fastenings. Elliotts moved from 449 Strand to St Martin's Lane in 1886.
