Description
Broken. Domestic wall thermometer. Thermometer mounted on ceramic plate, framed in an elaborately shaped wooden frame. Scale reads in both fahrenheit (left) and centigrade (right), and in addition the points of 'Blood Heat' and 'Freezing' are indicated by words. Recess at top of frame for missing plaque. The ceramic plate is badly broken at the middle, the same breakage having broken the thermometer, only the top half of the tube being present.
Elliotts were at 449 Strand 1863-86.
