Description

Fat album bound in flexible card covered in pale green cloth. 103 brown paper leaves; 106 photographs, all dated. They show the construction of Block X at the Elliott Brothers factory, Century Works, Lewisham, from digging and laying foundations (January 1940) to interiors upon completion (June 1940). Block X was a blast-proof building for war-related work. The album belonged to one of the managers of Elliott, D. C. Harben.
