Description

Bound in black half leather and blue cloth. The dates given in the titles are slightly inaccurate, the photographs having been taken between 1892 and 1901. The title or introductory inscription (f2) is in Miss Acland's own hand, but the text of her commentaries has been written out by an amanuensis. The photographs were printed in 1929 from her original glass negatives [now in the Bodleian Library] by her photographic collaborator Henry Minn. There are 64 photographs [the Bodleian version of the album contains 48] with captions beneath and commentary facing.
