Description
Sepia brown with rich slightly purply dark browns and pale cream light areas. Either an albumen print or an early sepia-toned gelatine print. Shows the very discoloured and decayed state of the stonework, and the balcony replacing the outer staircase (demolished in the early 1860s), together with a street gas lamp in the foreground.
