Description
One of a pair of boxwood scale rules acquired together, but made by different generations of the Elliott family: William Elliott's (14708) belongs to 1835-49, while Elliott Brothers were at 449 Strand 1863-86. Both show scales of 35 and 45, and other side 20 and 40; but the stamped maker's signatures are on different sides. Stamp reads: "Elliot Strand London".
