Description
Japanese metal (thin steel?) folding ruler, divided into 6 segments that each swivel on a hinge. The ruler measures 1 metre. One side of the ruler measures the number of cms in mms. The number of inches in 30 inch like divisions are marked '3 [with a Japanese character resembling R]' and these are divided into 20ths except for the first 2, which are measured in 50ths. 36 inches are marked '3ft' with a gap. Only one edge measures inches only and the other edge is subdivided into 16th except the the first two 32nds and third 64ths.
