Description

Drum, stored with old label, which reads "Cylindrical drum thought to have been used by Ernst Solvay in the original experiments on his ammonia-soda process. The cylinder axis and sodium bicarbonate sludge scraper have not been traced." Metal drum, cylindrical with one large central hole and seven surrounding smaller circles.
