Description
Wooden box next to De La Rue telescope tube, marked 'XAM SCHOOLS', contents various. One large part refers to Bird instrument. Cardboard box marked 'Sausages' contains small metal parts marked as being from De La Rue telescope. Small metal parts in 'Sausages' box seem to be verniers and other precision parts from the telescope mount. One item is very shiny, possibly made of platinum (mentioned in label with Inv. 15033).
