Description
Box, marked 'XAM SCHOOLS', with chain (possibly weight cord for De La Rue Telescope drive) and other metal parts. Two rods on top of box. One of the rods is of wood and copper alloy and is likely a slow-motion control for telescope: a similar rod is visible in an 1868 engraving of the telescope.
