Description

Wooden fitted box with copper alloy handles and fittings, inside there are two trays and one loose section, all lined with red felt. The box contains a nearly complete set of surgical instruments comprising a pump, a tourniquet, a scarificator and a glass cup, a copper alloy screw cap in the loose section, the case key and a small metal bulb. In the top removable tray there are two metacarpal saws, one with a straight blade and one with a hinged blade there is a spare blade for the hinged blade saw, locking forceps, a hey saw, pliers and locking forceps. In the lower drawer there is a speculum oculi, a trephine, large forceps, a pair of tissue retractors, a trocar, an artery forcep, a scalpel and three matching thin blades, a small pair of scissors, four tools with scooped blades and a curved needle mounted in a handle.
