Description
Screwbarrel microscope. A small wooden case covered with fish skin that has a hinged lid and copper alloy clasp. It is lined with green velvet. It has five compartments that contain the accessories for a screwbarrel microscope. Case contains 5 bone sliders, 1 ivory eyepiece, 1 ivory and copper alloy handle (2 fragments), 1 ivory objective holder with a copper alloy arm, 4 objectives with ivory caps, 1 lens, 2 retaining rings, stage forceps, 1 small decorative fragment with a gold coating.
