Description

Drum Microscope with Accessories and Case. A compound eyepiece pushes into draw tube in the top of the copper alloy body, which is held in a copper alloy sleeve. A nose with button objectives screws into the lower end of the body. A vertical pillar extends from one side of the rectangular stage plate, which carries an arm supporting the optical components. A superstage condenser lens is mounted on an articulated arm, on a collar that fits on the sleeve. The stage stands on a cylinder on a circular weighted base. A window is cut in the front of the cylinder to allow light to the concave mirror mounted on a spindle within. The mahogany case also contains a second eyepiece and nosepiece.
