Description
The pillar has a triangular cross section stands on a compass joint on a circular, lead weighted base. The plano-concave mirror is fitted in a horseshoe mount just above the joint. The body is supported on a bracket attached to a sleeve on the pillar that can be racked up and down by two double mill-edged knobs. The rectangular stage is fixed to the pillar. A support for specimens can slide over the stage hole and a screw beneath the stage facilitates fine focusing by lifting the face of the stage.
