Description
A square cross sectioned pillar stands on a flat, folding tripod foot. An arm screwed to the top of the pillar has a ring with two different internal threads. The objective screws into the lower thread and the nose of the body tube screws into the top. The eyepiece has a blackened eyecup and pushes into the upper cylinder of the body. The square stage has a large, recessed hole and a pinhole for accessories. A bracket, in the shape of a square U, is mounted on two pins on the stage to hold specimens. The stage is supported by a sleeve on the pillar that can be racked up and down for focusing. A sliding sleeve holds a condensing lens below the stage on a pivoting mount. Another, lower sleeve holds the plano-concave lens on a horseshoe mount.
