Description
Compound microscope by Benjamin Martin. The microscope has a removable eyepiece and body tube, and it has a sliding collar with a threaded end for an objective. The microscope slots into a round collar which is attached to the pillar on the stand. The stand is attached to the base, and has a stage and mirror attached.
The base has a single drawer for accessories, including: six objectives; a copper alloy Bonani spring stage; a bull's-eye lens on a steel rod; a copper alloy cone condenser; a Lieberkühn in a copper alloy case; a copper alloy fishplate; a pin with an ivory black and white disc, on a copper alloy jointed mounting; copper alloy tweezers; an ivory talc box containing mica windows; and ten ivory sliders with four windows in each.
