Description

A copper alloy spectroscopic microscope eyepiece with a blackened eyecap. There is a focussing knob and a barrel which would push into the main microscope body. The eyepiece has a blackened copper alloy attachment. The eyepiece is housed in a hinged wooden box with two clasp fastenings. Inside, the box has wooden supports for the instrument which are lined with blue baize. The box also contains a pivoting circular mirror on a blackened copper alloy arm; a set of three square glass slides; and four glass cylindrical beads on a purple treasury tag.
